Privacy policy

This privacy policy applies to visitors to our website and describes how Trafsys collects, processes, and protects personal data in this context.

Data Controller

Trafsys is the data controller for the processing of personal data on this website. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, you can contact us using the details below.

This policy provides the information you are entitled to when we collect personal data via our website (pursuant to the Personal Data Act, Section 19) as well as general information on how we process personal data (pursuant to the Personal Data Act, Section 18, first paragraph).

Processing of Personal Data on Our Website

The web administration is responsible for the daily processing of personal data on Trafsys’ website unless otherwise specified. Providing personal data, such as signing up for newsletters, is voluntary. The legal basis for processing is consent unless stated otherwise.

Information submitted via contact forms is stored with our web service provider and internally within our organisation.

Web Statistics

We collect anonymised data about visitors to our website to improve the information we provide. The statistics include:

  • The number of visitors to different pages
  • Duration of visits
  • Referring websites
  • Browsers used

IP addresses are collected but anonymised by retaining only the first three groups of digits (e.g., 195.159.103.xx). The data is processed at an aggregated level, ensuring that individual users cannot be identified.

We use Google Analytics for analytical purposes. Information from this tool is not shared with external parties.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use the following types of cookies:

  • Necessary cookies: Ensure the website functions properly.
  • Session cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser.
  • Third-party cookies: Used for analytical purposes, such as Google Analytics.

The storage and processing of cookies require your consent, in accordance with the Electronic Communications Act, Section 2-7b. You can manage cookies via nettvett.no.

Communication via Email and Phone

We use email, phone, and direct messaging systems in our daily operations. Emails and messages may be stored locally or with service providers. When an employee leaves, their email address and direct messaging accounts are deleted, but relevant messages may be transferred to colleagues or archived.

Important: We recommend that you do not send sensitive or confidential information via email, as standard email communication is unencrypted.

Phone Calls

Call logs (number, time) are stored in our telephone system for operational and administrative purposes. External numbers are anonymised after six months by removing the last four digits. Complete logs are deleted after one year. If necessary, notes related to specific cases may be created.

Data Protection Officer

Trafsys is not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer.

Your Rights

You have the right to request information about how we process your personal data (pursuant to the Personal Data Act, Section 18, first paragraph). Data subjects have the right to:

  • Access: Request access to the information we have stored about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of incorrect or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: Request the deletion of data that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.
  • Restriction of processing: Request limited processing of data in certain cases.

Requests are processed free of charge and responded to within 30 days.
