Code of Business Conduct

Trafsys AS (including sister and subsidiary companies) bases its business model on principles of good business ethics and social responsibility. We expect our contractual partners – suppliers, subcontractors, business partners and others with whom we have business agreements – to respect fundamental social and ethical norms in their operations. The guidelines below are based on international conventions and set minimum ethical standards. If Trafsys AS is associated with contractual partners who do not comply with basic business ethical principles, this may be a basis for terminating the agreement.

Human rights

Contractual partners must respect the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Employee rights

Contractual partners must comply with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, Article 32, as well as the ILO’s eight core conventions (Nos. 29, 87, 98, 100, 105, 111, 138 and 183), which deal with child labor, forced labor, trade union organizing, collective bargaining and discrimination in employment.

All employees in the contractual partners’ businesses must receive a salary that is sufficient to cover basic needs, in accordance with national minimum wage standards. The salary must be paid directly to the employee and on time. Working hours shall not exceed the limits set by national legislation, and overtime shall be regulated in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Health, environment and safety

Employees’ safety, health and working environment must always have the highest priority. Contractual partners must ensure safe working conditions, inform employees about potential risks and make the necessary protective and protective equipment available.

Contractual partners shall adhere to the precautionary principle in all areas of their business with environmental challenges and take initiatives to promote stronger environmental responsibility. They shall contribute to the development and use of environmentally friendly technology and ensure that the business is operated in accordance with applicable environmental legislation.

Corruption and fair competition

Contractual partners commit to combating all forms of corruption, including bribery in their business activities.

Furthermore, they must operate in accordance with national and international competition rules and actively oppose practices that inhibit competition.

Inspection and monitoring

Trafsys and our contractual partners are entitled, using competent and independent auditors, to carry out pre-announced inspections at each other’s production sites during the contract period to ensure that the requirements in this declaration are complied with.
