Tunnelportal Fløyfjellstunnelen

Fløyfjellstunnel

The Fløyfjell Tunnel is a road tunnel running through Fløyfjellet in Bergen. It is an important part of the main access route to the city center, connecting Sandviken in the north with Kalfaret in the south. Traffic runs through two separate tunnel tubes, one for each direction.

The tunnel helps reduce through-traffic in the city center and is a key component of Bergen’s urban environmental package. The Fløyfjell Tunnel is one of the most heavily trafficked road tunnels in Norway and plays a vital role in both local and regional transport.
